                <title>On the Job Injuries</title>
                <description><![CDATA[&#194;&#160; Injury Certification In the event an on-the-job injury occurs, board policy requires notification of the immediate supervisor (not later than 24 hours) using the If the injury causes absences from work If the injury renders the employee temporarily incapable of performing his/her regular duties a &#194;&#160; must be signed by a licensed physician.&#194;&#160; The employee must complete a &#194;&#160; and submit it to the superintendent for approval.&#194;&#160; Payment of medical expenses for on-the-job injuries School boards do not participate in Workers Compensation.&#194;&#160; Employees must file medical claims with their personal health insurance carrier.&#194;&#160; Amounts not covered by insurance are paid out of pocket by the employee.&#194;&#160; The employee can file a reimbursement claim for out of pocket expenses with the State Board of Adjustment (see policy .)&#194;&#160; Forms are available at the Board of Adjustment&#226;&#128;&#153;s &#194;&#160;website at or by printing the following:&#194;&#160; ( , )&#194;&#160; These reimbursement claims are filed by the employee directly to the State Board of Adjustment.
